Fair Use & Membership Intent
-
Membership is designed for routine maintenance and standard repairs.
-
BCAC may recommend moving a firearm into a quoted project when:
-
The scope expands beyond standard labor
-
The firearm’s condition requires extensive teardown or remediation
-
The work becomes restoration/custom-level complexity
-
How Credits Work
-
Credits cover labor only (parts, shipping, and outside services are separate).
-
1 credit covers up to $200 of standard labor on an included job.
-
If labor exceeds $200, you can either:
-
Use an additional credit, or
-
Pay the overage at the member shop rate ($65/hr).
-
-
Credits are annual and apply to work performed during your membership term.
-
Priority scheduling ladder: Tier 3 first, then Tier 2, then Tier 1, then non-members. Once an appointment is booked and confirmed, it is reserved for that client.
Excluded Work
These items are excluded because they are time-intensive, highly variable, require specialized processes, or carry higher risk/complexity that exceed to $200 credit cost.
